Y.C. Chiang Performs Guang Ping Tai Chi Chuan
Y.C. Chiang (1922 – 2016) performs Guang Ping Tai Chi Chuan. In this video from an original 1987 8mm film, Y.C. demonstrates the slow as well as the fast movements of the style. Chiang was a student of the famous Guang Ping Tai Chi masters Kuo Lien Ying and Wang Chi-chien.
At the age of 28 years old, Y.C. Chiang began learning from the famous Guang Ping master Kuo Lien Ying. As well as learning the Gauang Ping style of Tai Chi Chuan from Kuo, he also studied Hsingi, Bagua, and Shaolin Kung Fu.
In 1973, Y.C. Chiang founded the Wen Wu School in Berkley, California. At the school in Berkley, Chiang taught Chinese Martial Arts, Qigong, philosophy, and art. Y.C. Chiang was a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, and operated a clinic out of the school.
