T. T. Liang Performing Tai Chi Sword
Here is a video of T. T. Liang (1900-2002) performing a Tai Chi Sword Form when he was younger. This would have been filmed in Taiwan, before he moved to the United States.
T.T. Liang was a senior disciple of Cheng Man Ching, as well as other tai chi masters. Liang also studied Tai Chi from Hsiung Yang Ho and Li Shou Chen (both disciples of Yang Shao Hou) and Chang Ch’ing Ling (who was a disciple of Yang Pan Hou). T.T. Liang moved to the United States in 1964, following his teacher Cheng Man Ching.
After living and teaching in New York, T. T. Liang moved to Boston and taught Tai Chi there until he retired and moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota in 1981. However, even after he retired, he ended up continuing teaching Tai Chi in St. Cloud at the request of his students.
Check out the great book below on the life and times of T. T. Liang by his student Stuart Alve Olson. Lots of wonderful stories about this amazing Tai Chi master!
