T.Y. Pang Demonstrates Yang Style Tai Chi.
T.Y. Pang demonstrates the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan. Pang was a student of the famous Yang style Tai Chi master Tung Ying Chieh. Towards the end of the video, T.Y. Pang also performs some movements from Bagua.
T.Y. Pang studied meditation, martial arts, and traditional Chinese medicine as a child. In fact, he treated his first patient when he was only 16 years old. In 1950, he moved to Hong Kong where he met and started learning Yang style Tai Chi Chuan from Tung Ying Chien, a top student of Yang Cheng Fu. He also learned Bagua and Hsing-I from Sun Shihkun.
T.Y. Pang move to Hawaii in the 1960’s and began teaching Tai Chi there. In 1975, he moved to Orcas Island, Washington, where he continued to teach Tai Chi Chuan until his death in 2015.
