B.P. Chan Performs Yang Style Tai Chi

B.P. Chan (1922-2002) performs the long form of the Yang Family style of Tai Chi Chuan. B.P. Chan had learned the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan from Tung Ying Chieh, also learning and becoming proficient in the Tai Chi Staff, Tai Chi Knife, and the various methods of Push-Hands.

B.P. Chan began his studies in the Chinese Martial Arts at the age of 10 years old when he learned Shaolin Kung Fu. As well as learning the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan, he also had learned and taught Hsing I Chuan and Bagua Chuan. When B.P. Chan moved to New York City, he never opened his own school, instead he taught at the schools of other Tai Chi teachers. He taught at the school of C.K Chu, and later taught at William C.C. Chen’s Tai Chi school.
