Fu Zhong Wen Performs Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan

Fu Zhong Wen (1903-1994), disciple of the famous Yang Cheng Fu, performs a section of the Traditional Yang style in this Tai Chi Video. Fu Zhong Wen began his training in Tai Chi with Yang Cheng Fu at the young age 9 years old.

Fu Zhong Wen stayed with Yang for many years, eventually following Yang Cheng Fu on travels throughout China, assisting in teaching as well as accepting any martial challenges on Yang’s behalf.

Fu Zhong Wen became part of the Yang family when he married the Zou Kuei Cheng, the grand-niece of Yang Cheng Fu. In 1944 Fu created the Yongnian Tai Chi Association to further spread the teachings of his teacher, Yang Cheng Fu.

The teachings of the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan by Fu Zhong Wen have been passed down to his son, Fu Sheng Yuan, and grandson, Fu Qing Quan (James). The grandson, Fu Qing Quan, shows great promise and skill for teaching the future generations of traditional Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan students.
