Tashi Performs the Long Form Of Yang Tai Chi – Part 1

Tashi performs the first section of the Long Form from the traditional Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan. Tashi was a disciple of of Zhao Bin, who was a teacher of Yang style Tai Chi Chuan and a disciple himself of Yang Cheng Fu.

When she was younger, Tashi was quite ill, suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and later lung cancer. In hospital, and still not getting better, she had read about Tai Chi Chuan and began learning from Zhao Bin. Her health improved dramatically, and as a result began serious study of the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan. Tashi would practice 6 – 8 hours a day. In 1986 Tashi received 2nd place in the first National Yang Style Tai Chi Competition. After the death of Zhao Bin, she furthered her studies in Yang Tai Chi Chuan with Yang Zhen Ji, Yang Zhen Dou, and the famous Fu Zhong Wen.
