Wang Peisheng Demonstrating Northern Wu Tai Chi Chuan

Wang Peisheng (1919–2004) is seen here in this Tai Chi Video from the 1980’s performing part of  the Northern Wu Tai Chi Chuan Long Form. Wang Peisheng learned his tai chi from two famous Wu style teachers, Yang Yuting and also from Yang’s teacher, Wang Mao Zhai. Wang Mao Zhai was one of the three primary disciples of Wu Chien Chuan.

Wang Peisheng started his training in Tai Chi Chuan from an early age, and at the age of 15 years old started to assist his teacher Yang Yu Ting with the instruction of the students. During the 1950’s Wang Peisheng created a 37 posture Wu style form based on his understanding and experience in the traditional Wu Tai Chi Chuan system.

Below is a book that was written by Wang Peisheng on the Wu style of Tai Chi Chuan which includes his 37 posture Wu style form. Click on the image to see more!
