Wu Yinghua Performs Wu Family Tai Chi Sword

Wu Yinghua (1907–1996) demonstrates the double edged Sword Form of the Wu Family style of Tai Chi Chuan. The sword is one of the more common weapons practiced in Tai Chi Chuan, however, it remains a difficult weapon to fully master the techniques properly.

Wu Yinghua was the eldest daughter of the Wu Chien Chuan (Jianquan), the famous master of the Wu style of Tai Chi Chuan. She began her training in the family art from her father at the age of 9 years old. In 1930 Wu Yinghua married Ma Yueh-liang, who was her father’s senior disciple. Together, well into their elderly years, they taught the Wu style to many students.

Below is a must have book for the student of the traditional Wu style of Tai Chi Chuan which was authored by Wu Yinghua. This is an excellent book for the Wu style Tai Chi enthusiast as a link to the past teachings of the old masters! Click on the image below to see more.
