Yang Jun Performs Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan

Yang Jun performs the fist section of the traditional Yang Family style of Tai Chi Chuan. Yang Jun is the great-grandson of the famous Yang Cheng Fu. He lived with his grandparents from an early age, and started learning the family’s art from his grandfather Yang Zhen Duo when he was only 5 years old.

Yang Jun has assisted his grandfather in teaching the family art for many years. Since 1986 he accompanied Yang Zhen Duo on teaching trips throughout China, and started traveling internationally since 1990 when the pair first went to the United States.  Yang Jun moved to Seattle, Washington, USA with his wife in 1999 and established  the Yang Cheng Fu Tai Chi Chuan Center in Seattle’s International District (Chinatown).

In July of 2009, while at the First International Tai Chi Chuan Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee, Yang Zhen Duo formally announced that Yang Jun would be the fifth lineage-holder of Traditional Yang style Tai Chi Chuan. Yang Jun works passionately at promoting his family’s style of Tai Chi Chuan, and currently holds seminars across the world in countries such as Mexico, France, Italy, and Malaysia.

Below is an instructional DVD on the Traditional Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan. It features Yang Jun, and has English instruction on the Yang Long Form. Click on the image to see more!
