Yang Zhenji Performs Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan

Yang Zhenji (1921-2007) performs the long form from his family’s Yang style Tai Chi Chuan. Yang Zhenji was the 2nd son of the famous Yang Cheng Fu. He started to train his Tai Chi at the age of 6-years-old under the guidance of his father and older brother, Yang Sauchung.

Yang Zhenji worked very hard learning his family’s Tai Chi Chuan, and after many years fully grasped the essence of the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan. In the 1940’s, Yang Zhenji started to teach Tai Chi on his own, traveling to various parts of China and even visiting the United States. The lineage of Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan has been passed on to students in China, United States, and Europe who are carrying on the teachings of Yang Zhenji.

Below is a must have book for the practitioner of the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan, or the enthusiast of Tai Chi in general! This is the manual on Yang Tai Chi written by Yang Cheng Fu, the father of Yang Zhenji. This is a translation by Louis Swaim, who does a wonderful job in presenting this valuable text to the western Tai Chi practitioner.
