Ma Yueh Liang Demonstrates Wu Style Fast Tai Chi
In this Tai Chi Video, Ma Yueh Liang (1901–1998) demonstrates the Fast Set of the Wu style of Tai Chi Chuan. At the age of 18 years old, Ma Yueh Liang began training in the Wu Family style of Tai Chi Chuan from the famous Wu Chien Chuan at the age of 18 years old. After years of dedicated practice and hard training, he become one the most senior disciples of Wu Chien Chuan.
Ma Yueh Liang married Wu Ying Hua in 1930. She was the daughter of Wu Chien Chuan, and was also proficient in the Wu family art. Wu Ying Hua had started learning Tai Chi from a young age from her father. Together, both Ma Yueh Liang and Wu Ying Hua taught the Wu style of Tai Chi Chuan for many years, even when they became quite elderly!
The teachings and traditions of the Wu Family style of Tai Chi Chuan, as taught by Ma Yueh Liang and his Wu Ying Hua, have continued to be transmitted by their son Ma Jiang Bo and their adopted daughter Shi Mei Lin. New generations of Tai Chi enthusiasts from all over the world are being taught the traditional Wu family style of Tai Chi Chuan..
