Wu Ying Hwa – 1984 Tai Chi Masters Demonstration
Wu Ying Hwa (1907–1996) demonstrates the traditional Wu style of Tai Chi form in this video. The demonstration was part of the opening ceremony of the First International Tai Chi Chuan Competition held during April of 1984 in Wuhan, China.
Wu Yinghua was the oldest daughter of the famous Tai Chi master Wu Chien Chuan (Jianquan). She began training with her father at the young age of 9 years old. Wu Yinghua married her father’s senior disciple, Ma Yueh-liang, in 1930. They both taught the Wu style to many students, carrying on the family tradition until their elderly years.
