Chen Xiaoxing Demonstrates Xinjia Yilu

Chen Xiaoxing performs the Xinjia Yilu set from the Chen Family style of Tai Chi Chuan. This was filmed as part of a demonstration for government officials at the Chen Village Tai Chi Temple in 2006.  He began training in the family art at an young age from his father Chen Zhaoxu. Later, Chen Xiaoxing had the fortunate opportunity to learn from his two uncles, Chen Zhaopei and Chen Zhaokui. Chen Xiaoxing is a 19th generation lineage holder of the Chen Family Tai Chi, directly back to Chen Wangting. His grandfather was the famous Chen Fa Ke, and he is also the brother of Chen Xiaowang.

Like many of the other famous modern day masters from the Chen Village, Chen Xiaoxing has played an important part of spreading the Chen Family style of Tai Chi Chuan to students from across the world. From foreign students who travel to Chen Village to learn the art, to countries and cities around the world where he travels, Chen Xiaoxing has worked tirelessly to continue the teachings of his forefathers before him.

Below is a book that was written by the older brother of Chen Xiaoxing. Chen Xiaowang wrote this book about the five levels of training in Tai Chi Chuan. Jan Silberstorff is the translator of this work, and he gives his expert commentary on the five levels in the book.
