Feng Zhiqiang (1928-2012) demonstrates the Chen style of Tai Chi Chuan in this video from 1992. This was at a demonstration of masters that was organized in the city of Taiyuan by Yang Zhenduo. Feng Zhiqiang, an 18th generation master of the Chen Family style of Tai Chi Chuan, was one of the top students of the famous Chen Fake. As well as Chen’s Tai Chi  Chuan, Feng Zhiqiang also learned  Xinyi Quan from Hu Yaozhen, and Tong Bei Quan from Han Xiao Feng.

Feng Zhiqiang  is known for creating what he called  the Chen Shi Xinyi Hunyuan style of Tai Chi Chuan. This style of Tai Chi was born from his experiences from Chen’s Tai Chi Chuan as well as the Xinyi Quan which he had learned. Feng Zhiqiang also created a 48 Movement Chen Tai Chi Form,  as well as creating a set of 30 Silk Reeling Exercises which are practiced by many students of all styles of Tai Chi Chuan.

Below is a book on Tai Chi Chuan that was written by Yang Yang, who was a student of Feng Zhiqiang.

“The author examines the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of the art to bring the reader a deeper appreciation of what it is and is not.” ….. Harold McFarland
