Wu (Wu Yuxiang) Tai Chi Performed by Qiao Songmao

Qiao Songmao performs the Wu (Wu Yuxiang) style of Tai Chi Chuan 85 form. This style is different from the more popular Wu style of Wu Chien Chuan, and is often referred to as the Wu/Hao style of Tai Chi Chuan. Qiao Songmao is the 5th generation inheritor of the Wu (Wu Yuxiang) style of Tai Chi Chuan. This Wu style was developed by Wu Yuxiang, who learned his Tai Chi Chuan from Yang Luchan, becoming one of Yang’s senior disciples.

Through his experience and understanding of the Wu Yuxiang style of Tai Chi Chuan, Qiao Songmao has created the Qiao style of Tai Chi Chuan. He has based the changes for his style to better conform to Tai Chi theory and the human body’s natural law and movements.

Below is an instructional DVD on the Wu style Tai Chi Chuan of Wu Yuxiang. It features Qiao Songmao performing and instructing the movements.
